International Book Fairs
We love book fairs! Especially international ones, because they are colorful, full of energy, and filled with the smell of thousands and thousands of books. For us, book fairs are not just about business - they are about people. Over the years, we have created valuable partnerships, but more importantly, lasting friendships.
Two of our traditional stops every year are the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the Frankfurt Book Fair. Both events are key milestones in our calendar, where we reconnect with old partners, meet new ones, and return home with inspiration (and many new ideas).
Bologna Children's Book Fair 2026
We brought a tree to Bologna this year! Literally.
Our stand was inspired by the illustrations of our Little Wild Wisdoms series - bright, wild, and full of character. From the branches of a small tree, every visitor picked a wish card with a poem: a giraffe, a bear, a fox - each with a little piece of wisdom to take home.
Publishers from Brazil, Mexico, Iceland, Zimbabwe and beyond stopped by, smiled, laughed, and talked. Some were drawn to the artistry of Little Wild Wisdoms. Others discovered our Educational Cards or fell for Lilly the Chick. And as always, Book in a Box earned its second look.
Good conversations, good people, good energy - that's what Bologna is about.

Clever Book at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025
What an inspiring week it was at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025!
We had the pleasure of meeting wonderful new partners from Poland, Slovakia, Singapore, and the Philippines, exchanging ideas, experiences, and lots of laughter.
We also reconnected with our current partners, and we’re full of enthusiasm about the exciting new projects that are already taking shape.
The undisputed star of the fair was Lilly Chick — and who knows, maybe soon we’ll meet her again in a new language and a new world, as Layla Dajaj, bringing her charm to young readers across the Arab world.

What a fair it was! We met with old friends - and made plans to meet again next year. We also met new ones - and we truly hope to stay in touch. And of course, no Bologna trip is complete without pizza and pasta!

Sometimes the fastest decisions are the best ones!
We signed a contract for six titles in Tamil - and since we learned there are at least 21 more, we expect our cards to soon be available in even more languages.
That’s what we call determination: sitting down at a stand even before the official opening, already having picked nine titles! Another successful contract followed — with Statovac Serbia. Here are the results!
